Saturday 30 July

There will be an outing for Dr Johnson’s Reading Circle to Samuel Johnson’s birthplace at Lichfield on Saturday 30 July. Non-members of the Circle are also very welcome to join us!

We will be visiting the Erasmus Darwin House in the morning and the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum in the afternoon, with some free time for exploring Lichfield.

Tickets: £35, booking required
Please note that booking for the trip has now closed.

This cost includes entry fees to both museums and tea, coffee and a sandwich lunch at the Erasmus Darwin House.

Please buy your train tickets to Lichfield independently.

You need to book on the 09.46 Euston to Lichfield City train and choose a return time to suit you. The following times are recommended (after which the service is very slow):
